This type is breeded as an independent breed in its country of origin. The clubīs name is: Klub Tsang-Khyi CZ. The club cooperates with the same focused subjects in foreign countries aimed at rescue of this breed and acknowledgement of the independent standard by the international organization FCI for the type of tibetan mastiff tsang-khyi. From the European point of view Tsang-khyi is only type of Tibetan mastiff breed but in the country of origin these dogs are breeded as an independent breed. This can show us that tsang-khyi are at least equally valuable and important as do-khyi type.. Therefore it is not right that last starndard version ( Standard FCI ) prefers type do-khyi as the independent breed and doesnīt accept any other option - eg. tsang-khyi. It would be right if only general, worldwide accepted and used name - tibetan mastiff would be used in its standard - for all the types. This problem of "so-called" war about the types lasts from the beginning of the TM breeding in Europe. I extract the best known types of Tibetan dogs for your conception: gom-khyi, sgo-khyi, rgai-khyi, mang-khyi, sGo-khyi,chang-khyi, tsang-khyi, do-khyi, dzi-khyi, naj-khyi, sha-khyi, bhotia, bangar mastiff. All the types have the same origin but some of them are very different. Indeed it is not possible to rescue all these types (some of them havenīt lived already or live only in very small number and that is why it is very difficult to bring this dog from the country of origin).
