But it would be really a pitty to prefer breeding of only one type of tibetan mastiff in Europe and that only by the one reason = breeding of do-khyi for longer time in Europe. There is a strong interest at breeding of this original, very old and historically documented tsang khyi type and number of stallion dogs increases. So the forecast for the rescue is positive. The do-khyi breeders themselves do a lot for the rescue of tsang khyi - (however they want or donīt want) - they choose stallion dogs more similar to tsang khyi and use imported representatives of tsang khyi for their breeds. And why do they do this? It is simple. Tsang is is simply favourite, people like tsang-khyi. So it would be good if both types are separated as soon as possible so we donīt have rescue the do-khyi type then. This separation of these both types is really good in light of breeding because everytime the new blood would be needed, there would be a possibility to use it at the other type. Other breeds must solve this problem by adding quite another blood, and it is indeed not ideal way.
