Internationally protected breeding station Bohemia Bal-Jul is the first Czech breeding station of Tibetian Mastiffs. The breeding station deals with the hobby breeding of this breed only with the aim of the protection support and its genetic recources development (preservation of the sufficient number of unrelated individuals), so their next life is assured in future generations. The breeding station tries to choose only individuals unrelated or related as little as possible for breeding. So this way a greater genetic variability (reducing related breeding) comes up and thereby option to use such "fresh" puppies for breeding, recovery of the breed and also health and character preservation and also exterior if proper choice (book from Hellmuth Wachtel: Dog breeding in year 2000 recommended). We canīt forget that Tibetian mastiff is the breed of more alternatives-types a we should try to keep-preserve at least the basic types. Based on this idea the club for saving one of these basic, still living types of Tibetian Mastiff was founded in 2005 - type of tsang-khyi.
